New Be-gin-ings

I've always had a strange relationship with alcohol.

There's never been a drink that I've actually enjoyed drinking, and therefore a lot of the time drinking took place with a particular motive in mind. If I were to drink, I'd choose something sweet but wouldn't normally be the type of girl to have a glass of red wine with her dinner.

I recently discovered corona, and that was a bit of a game changer. But who orders a corona on a night out, or at a bar?

If someone had told me a month ago that I would soon be drinking a gin and lemonade whilst watching Picnic at Hanging Rock, I'd have thought they were mad. The smell of gin always made me feel sick and reminded me of some type of chemical cleaner. And the fact that people team that with tonic water is just plain wrong.

But rhubarb gin, orange gin, lavender gin.. literally give me all the flavoured gins. But only with lemonade. With tonic it still smells like it's going to poison me, but with lemonade, I am in a good place.

Normally if I go on a night out, people are wary. However, sticking to gin has literally changed things for the better. Hooray for gin! Hooray for hangover free mornings!
